Peace Day!

Today is Peace day! First, some of us had come to Mrs Psillides room to watch a peace day video about how it was made. I forgot to go to my home group to tell my home group teacher that I was going to watch the peace video and got marked absent! At lunch we had face painting, cookie selling, poster selling, music listening and video watching celebration for peace day.

Lunch was really cool. First I had to operate the poster making table. I made a poster myself because if you made one you would get a free chocolate! I got called a way to start selling cookies. We sold quite a lot of cookies but we wanted to sell more so me and Tim went outside and started t sell more cookies. We sold a lot at the blue top. We could not sell all our cookies but w raised 611 RM! I thought that e did not make any money because we had to give Connie about 60 RM so we thought we did not make any money but when we were told we made 611 ringgit we were stunned! Peace day was really good.

I think peace day was very good and we made a lot of money to got to the Ankorwat marathon for children.

Peace assembly post

I think the peace assembly was great. It was very good because everyone was involved. The teachers and students everyone who was there. Everyone liked the song and it was a relevant song which was great. I liked the song too. It has a meaning to it and it sounds great. The dance was cool too. We were good although most of us did not know the dance it was easy to do it as Mrs. Palko was o the stairs doing the dance and we followed her. The speeches were good too. The intro speech got every ones attention and everyone was listening to Camelick (not sure f that's how to spell it) and that speech was followed by Marin Luther King Jr's. speech (which was played on YouTube). Then came Tim and Zarina's speech which was great and that was followed by the song and dance. The song was Where Is The Love by The Black Eyed Peas. Then Mr Peter's Global Issues class had some poems to read and they were great. During all this time the people who were doing the dance had to sit down on their chairs with their hoodies on and faces down. At the end of the assembly, Everyone held their peace word in the air and it was really cool. Some of them said "NO WAR" "PEACE" and there were others but my face was down and I cant remember them! I think the peace assembly made everyone remember about Peace Day and peace in general
